Yesterday Today and Tomorrow was designed to be a solution to an everyday problem. I began the design process by asking a group of friends, “What is one problem you face every day that you would like someone to design a solution to?” One friend replied that she would like to rescue her desk chair from underneath the pile of clothes she leaves there. The clothes have been worn and she does not want to return them to her closet, however, they had not been worn enough to go into the washing basket.

So the idea was born of designing a hanging solution for the clothes of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Intended to sit in the corner of the bedroom, the design has space for four hangars and four garments to be hung directly over the rails.

The design was inspired by Kirigami folding patterns and developed through extensive material testing. The intent was to produce an object that was beautiful as well as functional. The design measures 600(L)x600(D)x1500(H) and is available in Australian Plantation plywood. Please contact the designer to discuss pricing.
